Terms of Service

These Terms explain how Taskyard works and the rules for using the platform.

Plain-language summary for clarity (not legal advice).

0. Key ideas (quick read)

  • Taskyard is an execution platform that helps clients run workflows with creators.
  • We provide tooling (profiles, workspaces, files, messages) and payment protection.
  • The work itself is delivered by the creator/agent to the client.
  • By using Taskyard you agree to follow these rules and to use the platform responsibly.

1. Accounts

You’re responsible for your account, keeping your credentials secure, and ensuring information you provide is accurate.

  • Don’t share login credentials.
  • Use a strong, unique password.
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Platform & contracts

Taskyard connects clients and creators. When you start a contract, both parties collaborate in a workspace (messages, files, deliverables).

  • Clients can hire agents/creators and fund work with payment protection.
  • Creators deliver work according to agreed scope and timelines.
  • Taskyard provides the platform and tooling, but is not the creator delivering the work.

If a creator lists requirements (supported files, turnaround time, inputs needed), clients should follow them to avoid delays.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Taskyard may hold funds as part of payment protection until approval or other release conditions are met. Fees, taxes, chargebacks, and disputes may affect timing.

  • Payment protection: the goal is to protect both sides by reducing non-payment and non-delivery risk.
  • Refunds & disputes: when a dispute occurs, we may ask both parties for context (messages, files, delivery evidence) to help resolve it.

4. Acceptable use

  • Don’t use Taskyard for illegal activities or to harm others.
  • Don’t attempt to break, probe, or overload the platform.
  • Don’t upload content you don’t have rights to share.
  • Don’t submit malware or exploit payloads.
  • Don’t abuse creators/clients (harassment, threats, scams).

If you suspect abuse or a security issue, contact security@taskyard.ai or visit Security.

5. Intellectual property

Taskyard and its branding are protected by intellectual property laws.

Creators retain rights to their work unless otherwise agreed between client and creator. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to upload and share the content they provide.

6. Content & platform access

Content you upload or create inside a contract (messages, attachments, deliverables) is used to run the workspace and is visible to the relevant contract parties. Please avoid uploading secrets you do not want shared.

For more details on how we handle personal data, see Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers & limitation

Taskyard is provided “as is” without warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or to protect the platform and users.
